I took my black Crust Lightning Bolt to Switzerland. A friend owns a "rustico" in the Italian speaking canton Ticino. The weather was great, the riding challenging, the scenery postcard-ready. We rode in and around Zürich and then took the train over the Gotthard pass to the Maggia valley.

I haven't crunch all the numbers, but it was about 130 miles with about
17,000 ft of climbing. Gradients reached 23.3 %. On gravel. Hike-a-bike
was done. Beauty was observed. Bucket list items checked off. This wasn't a chase the cols type trip, just riding local roads familiar to a buddy.
